So, today, we are going to cover singular and plural nouns. A person, animal, place or thing is called singular noun. A word that represents more than one person,animal,place or thing is called a plural noun.

Hari ini kita akan belajar singular dan plural nouns(kata benda tunggal dan jamak). Seseorang, binatang,tempat atau benda di panggil singular noun(tunggal). Sebuah perkataan yang mewakili lebih dari satu orang,binatang,tempat atau benda di kenali sebagai plural noun(jamak).

Example /contoh : pencil-pencils, cat-cats, toilet-toilets, boy-boys

Most nouns are singular or plural. Plural nouns are easily recognised by the ending -s.However, many plurals do not follow this.Kebanyakkan noun adalah singular atau plural. Plural nouns senang di kesan dengan penghujung -s. Tetapi, banyak juga plurals yang tidak mengikut hujung dengan s.

Example/contoh : police, people, sheep, fish, glasses

The following nouns are always plural and take a plural verb. Noun(kata benda) berikut selalunya adalah (plural)jamak dan menggunakan (verb) kata kerja jamak.

Nouns which are plural but uses a singular verb when they are treated as singular. Nouns (kata benda) yang plural(jamak) tetapi mengunakan singular verb (kata kerja tunggal) akan dikenali sebagai singular (tunggal).
