Difference between lend and borrow (meminjam & pinjamkan)

Use the word lend when you are giving something to someone.
Guna lend bila anda berikan barang kepada seseorang.

Let me lend you my pencil.
Biar saya meminjamkan awak pensil saya.

Borrow is when you take from someone.
Borrow pula ialah bila anda ambil dari seseorang.

Can I borrow your pencil?
